      The article focuses on the earthquake simulation test called NEESWood project which was conducted in Miki, Japan on July 14, 2009. The test was done on a wooden 23-unit condominium placed in a 50-by-60 foot table which imitates the earthquake in Northridge, California in 1994. Associate professor John van de Lindt of Colorado State University states that the test affirms their new seismic design approach. Moreover, the project is a joint experiment of different universities in the U.S.
