      The article reports on the study conducted on the implication of Gonatopus agropyrus Fenton, a newly discovered parasitoid of the corn leafhopper in California. Researchers found that the vector of Spiroplasma kunkelii is the causative agent of the stunt disease, Dalbulus maidis, in corn. The said disease was first reported in the state in 1942 and became a significant pest of silage and grain maize in the southern San Joaquin Valley.
