The article offers information on the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA). It states that public health associations present themselves as precursors of national and international cooperation. Relative to this, the Kampala Declaration of March 2008 underscored that health is a fundamental human right which must be aided by fair and sustainable health financing systems. Moreover, the transition to health systems to reach universal and equal access to quality health care mandates a sustainable financial resource base in meeting the health needs of the population.
