The article reports on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects in the Middle Eastern oil and gas sector. A mere $15 billion worth of EPC contracts were awarded in the sector for the 12 months to March 2008, down from $45 billion and $35 billion in the two previous years respectively, according to Gulf projects tracker MEED Projects. Almost $60 billion worth of EPC contracts are scheduled to be awarded in the coming 12 months.
