      This article reports on the introduction of two vegetarian items by Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland to the lunch menu in January 2008. The school system made the move following a study in which students at five middle schools taste tested different soy-based products. Kathy Lazor, director of division of food and nutrition services, said she was approached by N. Chapman Associates Inc. and the National Soybean Council to participate in the test.
