PYTHAGOREAN TRIANGLES WITH REPEATED DIGITS: A SOLUTION TO A PROBLEM.

The article presents a solution to a problem proposed by Monte J. Zerger of Adams State College. It attempts to show that there are no Pythagorean triples with legs of dk or d^k or there are no values of d and k for which dk raise to the power of two plus d^k raise to the power of two is a perfect square. It provides the solution along with the theory. The results of the solution conclude the proof of the theorem that there is no Pythagorean triangle whose legs are d^k and dk if k is a positive integer.
