E. Coli Vaccine Now in Use.

This article states that in September 2007 Clarksburg, Ontario's Top Meadow Farms became the first commercial beef producer to use Bioniche Life Sciences Inc.'s new E. coli O157:H7 vaccine. While the vaccine is still under review by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the CFIA is allowing Belleville, Ontario-based Bioniche to issue permits under the Permit to Release Veterinary Biologics regulations. This allows producers, through their veterinarians, to request the vaccine.
