The article features Ayyam Zaman, a native of Gaza in Palestine, as he compares the economic and social conditions in Palestine before--and after--the Six-Day War which occurred in 1967. According to the author, Zamman recalls an era before occupation, checkpoints, dodging bullets from Israeli military snipers, seeking shelter from the steel rain of incoming hellfire missiles or from deafening sonic booms.
