The Nose Knows.

The article focuses on the study by the researchers from the University of California, Berkeley, on how humans can trace a scent on the ground using the zigzag sniffing pattern. The researchers used a trail with chocolate essence and blind-folded volunteers were asked to find the scent with the nose alone. It was found that some of the volunteers were able to find it using techniques like those of the animals and some were able trace the scent even if only one nostril was used.
