      This article provides information on exercising on a stability ball. Exercising on the ball trains the core or powerhouse muscles that link the upper and lower body and control all body movements. Just by keeping the ball from rolling away, core muscles are stretched and toned. Adding resistance and repetition will produce a challenging workout that will tighten abs, strengthen the lower back and improve posture and balance. The more inflated the ball, the more difficult exercises will be, but that does not mean a firm ball is always best.
