      This article presents the debate over whether acupuncturist in the United States and abroad should familiarize themselves with the Chinese language or at least with Chinese medical vocabulary. Ken Rose and Zhang Yu Huan, editor and assistant editor of the journal "Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine," argue that students in the English speaking world have ignored publications on acupuncture in the Chinese language and have been trained with faulty knowledge because of the lack of Chinese language skills.
