A Xially Symmetric Cosmic Strings and Domain Walls in Lyra Geometry.

Axially symmetric space time is considered in the presence of cosmic string source and thick domain walls in the frame work of Lyra (1951) geometry. Exact cosmological models, which represent geometric (Nambu) string and stiff domain walls are presented. It is interesting to note that the cosmological models, obtained in both the cases, are identical. Some physical and kinematical properties of the models are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
