The article focuses on the inclusion of Intelligent Design (ID) "Theory" in the science curriculum. According to ID "Theory," many features of living creatures seem too complex to have originated by a natural process, like Evolution, and so must have been designed by an "Intelligent Designer." In male mammals including human beings, testes extend away from the body, because the sperms need slightly cooler temperatures to develop. Due to this, the testicles are always prone to injuries. An Intelligent Designer could have designed sperm that could withstand the warmer temperatures inside the body, so that testicles could remain inside the body. In Dover, Pennsylvania, Federal Judge John E. Jones, III, ruling against the inclusion in a high school biology class of the reading of a statement that belittles the importance of evolution and promotes intelligent design, summarily dismissed intelligent design "theory" as non-scientific with a religious intent.
