      The article reports on the modification of the "Spongy Universe" activity for use with the visually impaired students. The activity was test piloted at the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind. The two parts of the activity are described. Student learning is assessed using a teacher guide with background material and resources for the study of cosmology in addition to feedback questions. Other modules are available for the students' continuous study of the "Evolving Universe." INSETS: Special-needs students;A good model;Materials, graphics, and texts.
