The article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of using solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (SSNMR) spectroscopy in analyzing polymorphic drug forms and formulations. The SSNMR methods include differential scanning calorimetry, single crystal X-ray diffraction, X-ray powder diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy. SSNMR spectroscopy could be used bulk drugs formulations in distinguishing the excipient peaks of the NMR spectrum.
