- نبذة مختصرة :
The article focuses on the measurement of environmental progress and performance in Canada. The author assesses the success stories in environmental protection in the region. Significantly, several environmental problems are affecting various aspects such as the cases of acid rain, declining fish population, and oil drilling. Furthermore, the author points out that the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol was success wherein it is a sign that the global community is acknowledging that key greenhouse gas producers are not on signatories. Environmentalist Ralph Torrie is preparing for a comprehensive plan for the transformation of the energy-intensive economy wherein it would cut its greenhouse gas emissions as well as the elimination of the use of fossil fuels.
