The article reports on a survey of the knowledge and attitudes of childcare providers toward AIDS and child care policies. recommended child care policies. The study indicate that the willingness of the childcare provider to care for an HIV-infected child correlated more consistently with his knowledge of HIV transmission and the acceptance of child care policies regarding pediatric AIDS. Providers having high self-perceived knowledge disagreed that the HIV virus could be transmitted through sweat, sneezing or a drinking glass.
