Food Factory in a Pipe.

The article presents information on the Food Factory in a Pipe, a major research project from Macclesfield, England-based Advanced Manufacturing Technology Research Institute (Amtri). Originally the project was known as the Modular Reconfigurable Shelled Robotic Automation Project. Traditionally food production is done manually, however, Amtri introduced fully automated equipments and techniques. Amtri has Parallel Kinematic Robots and various other options. The project is expected to offer a viable manufacturing platform. A lot of design work including the module integration, and barrier engineering are considered in the project.
