      The article reports that seven new clinical areas will be included in the General Medical Services quality framework from April 2006 in England. The total number of quality points will fall to 1,000, after access was stripped from the framework. As had been widely predicted, AF, obesity and depression, plus changes to the existing mental health domain, are included. Medical Women's Federation honorary secretary Clarissa Fabre welcomed the increase but said the retention of primary care organisation discretion over the payment was unacceptable. The deal announced by negotiators means that MMR vaccination will account for 25 per cent of immunisation pay, the pentavalent vaccine, 50 per cent, and meningitis C, 25 per cent.
