      The article discusses an emerging purchasing process in schools called reverse online auctions. Vice chairman of the Orange County Board of Education in California, Al Hartkopf says that it is a beta trial and not even a service. It brings a change in the purchasing process that might turn beneficial to the district. This program which is still in its infancy, is operated by a private corporation named Asset Management Technologies. The whole process which takes about half an hour to complete saves around 10 percent to 15 percent or thousand of dollars on purchase.
