      The article gives a couple of tips for improving the school environment for students in the U.S. The author asserts that a number of new, affordable tools are available to help maintain schools that improve the health of the indoor environment without harming the environment. Audit tools can identify health, safety and environmental issues. Meanwhile, the U.S. Green Building Council has launched an initiative to help existing buildings.
