GATX IS IN PLAY--AND IT DOESN'T SEEM TO MIND.

The article reports on the takeover bid that puts GATX Corp. in play despite the corporate restructure led by GATX Chairman James J. Glasser. As part of the restructure, Glasser has even divested its core business building railroad cars. However, after the remodeling, he gets a takeover bid which puts GATX in play. With this, Glasser has been downright open to potential acquirers. Leucadia National Corp. has opened the bidding at $38 per share in cash, and other bidders at $40 and $42 per share.
