The article analyzes the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the supply of male and female labor in Brazil, using data from the Continuous National Household Survey. The health crisis reduced the likelihood of men and women working more hours, with women being the most affected, especially mothers with young children. The presence of children in the home affected mothers more, reducing their participation in the labor market, while it increased for men. A partir de la estimación de un modelo probit ordenado y de datos trimestrales del período 2018-2020 provenientes de la Encuesta Nacional de Hogares Continua (PNAD Continua), en este estudio se analizan los efectos de la crisis sanitaria provocada por la enfermedad por coronavirus (COVID-19) sobre la oferta de horas de trabajo de hombres y mujeres en el Brasil. Los resultados indican que la pandemia redujo la probabilidad de que tanto hombres como mujeres realizaran un mayor número de horas de trabajo, y que las mujeres fueron las más afectadas. Además, la probabilidad de que las madres realizaran un mayor número de horas de trabajo era menor si tenían hijos pequeños, mientras que, en el caso de los hombres, esa probabilidad aumentaba.
