      This research was conducted in order to investigate the effects of moisture absorbent polymers and mycorrhizal biofertilizer on water use efficiency, potato yield, as well as the quality of produced tubers in terms of secondary growth and contamination with scab disease for two years in Hamedan. This experiment was carried out by Agria potato cultivar in the form of a splited strip design with a basic random complete block design. The amount of irrigation water was set at three levels of 100, 75 and 50% of potato water requirement in the main strips (main plot). The seprate use of the superabsorbent material, the mycorrhizal biofertilizer and their combination was also considered as a sub-plot in three differing levels. The amount of superabsorbent material usage was 80 kilogerams per hectar, and the use of mycorrhizal biofertilizer was in the form of coating th tubers. At the harvesting time, the total yield, water efficiency and the quality of produced tubers determined in terms of dry matter content, appearance and marketability of tubers in terms of deformity, and scab disease contamination. The results showed that under normal irrigation conditions (supplying 100% of water requirement), the use of superabsorbent and mycorrhizal biofertilizer had no significant effect on the yield and quality of the produced tubers in terms of dry matter, deformity, secondary growth and the level of infection with scab disease. However, in the condition of low irrigation, especially with irrigation at the rate of 50% of the water requirement of potatoes, a significant difference was created in the yield and quality of potato tubers as well as the efficiency of water in potatoes. The infection index of the important bacterial scab disease decreased significantly by using mycorrhizal biofertilizer and the combination of mycorrhizal and superabsorbent.
