      The article reports on the spread of polio and other diseases across the world. The WHO has reported further cases of polio affecting five provinces in Angola, namely, Bengo, Benguela, Luanda, Lunda Sul and Moxico in August. Travellers should ensure they are up to date with the polio vaccine. Further cases of polio have also been reported in West Java, Central Java, Banten, Lampung province and Jakarta in August. Indonesia had been polio free since 1995. There are press reports of an outbreak of encephalitis in south west Nepal with more than 60 cases reported.
