Factorial Structure of the Psychological Immunity Measure Model: A Psychometric Study on Ajman University Students in the UAE.

الأهداف: تهدف الدراسة إلى تطوير مقياس نفسي لمفهوم المناعة النفسية لدى طلبة الجامعة وتعرف طبيعة مكوناتها والتركيب العاملي ومؤشرات صدقها وموثوقيتها. المنهجية اتبعت الدارسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال تطبيق مقياس المناعة النفسية على عينة من طلبة جامعة عجمان بلغت (534) طالبا وطالبة، وجرى الاعتماد على التحليل العاملي عبر التحليل العاملي الاستكشافي والتوكيدي. النتائج أظهرت النتائج أن مفهوم المناعة النفسية هو أحد المفاهيم التكوينية التي تتمثل من ثلاثة عوامل كامنه تتشيع عليها 37 مفردة تفسر ما نسبته (51.9%) من التباين التراكمي للمفردات حيث فسر العامل الاول 32.2%، والعامل الثاني 13.9%، بينما فسر العامل الثالث %5.1% من التباين المشترك. كما وجدت علاقة ارتباطية دالة إحصائيا بين النموذج المقترح للمناعة النفسية ومقياس المرونة الأكاديمية، التي مثل محكا لقياس صدق النموذج المقترح فيما بلغ معامل ألفا لثبات الاستجابة على النموذج 0.939. التوصيات نظام المناعة النفسية بعد المرجع في تحديد سلوكات الأفراد، وطبيعة الاستجابة للأحداث، ويمكن الاستدلال على مؤشرات فعاليته من خلال الأنظمة المكونة له؛ حيث خلصت الدراسة إلى أن هذا النظام يتكون من ثلاثة أنظمة فرعية يشكل فيها نظام الاحتواء الجانب الانفعالي الذي يقوم على تحويل الطاقة الانفعالية السلبية إلى أعراض جسدية بسيطة، ثم النظام المعرفي "المواجهة التكيفية" الذي يقوم على الجانب المعرفي في استخدام استراتيجيات من شانها إعادة الفرد إلى التوازن، ومن ثم النظام التنظيمي الذي يشرف على عمل النظام الوجداني والمعرفي معا. Objectives: The study aimed to develop a psychological measure for the concept of psychological immunity among university students and identify the nature of its components, the factorial structure and the indicators of its validity and reliability. Methods: The study used the descriptive analytical approach, by applying the psychological immunity measure to a sample of (534) Ajman University students, and the factor analysis was relied upon through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Results: The study results showed that the concept of psychological immunity is one of the formative concepts, which is represented by three latent factors that saturate 37 items, explaining (51.9%) of the cumulative variation of the items, where the first factor explained 32.2%, the second factor 13.9%, while the third factor explained 5.1% of the combined variance. It also found a statistically significant correlation between the proposed model of psychological immunity and the academic flexibility scale, which was a criterion for measuring the validity of the proposed model. Alpha coefficient for the stability of the response on the model was 0.939. Conclusions: The study pinpoints the notion that the psychological immunity system is deemed a reference to determine individuals’ behaviors and the nature of response to events. The study concluded that this system comprises three sub-systems of which the containment system constitutes the sentimental aspect which is responsible for transforming the negative emotional energy into bodily symptoms, the cognitive system which incites tactics to help the individual regain balance and the regulatory system which supervises the functionality of both emotional and cognitive system.
