Ingram Content Group, the leading book distribution company in the United States, has partnered with the Sharjah Book Authority to establish a Lightning Source facility in Sharjah Publishing City, the world's first free trade zone for publishing. This facility, called Lightning Source Sharjah, aims to serve as a gateway into the Middle East and North Africa publishing markets, providing easier access to Ingram's extensive library of wholesale books and faster delivery times for retailers in the region. The print-on-demand service offered by Ingram allows for the quick and high-quality printing of a single copy of a book when a sale occurs, eliminating the need for speculative stockholding.
