      Chronic sun exposure is a significant factor in skin aging and skin cancer development. This article examines how ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun contributes to photoaging, manifested by wrinkles, loss of elasticity, uneven pigmentation, and age spots. Additionally, it highlights the increased risk of skin cancer, such as melanoma and basal cell carcinoma, due to prolonged sun exposure. Prevention and protection strategies, such as using sunscreen and protective clothing, are also discussed to mitigate these risks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      La exposición crónica al sol es un factor importante en el envejecimiento de la piel y el desarrollo de cáncer de piel. Este artículo examina cómo la radiación ultravioleta (UV) del sol contribuye al fotoenvejecimiento, que se manifiesta por arrugas, pérdida de elasticidad, pigmentación desigual y manchas de la edad. Además, destaca el mayor riesgo de sufrir cánceres de piel, como melanoma y carcinoma basocelular, debido a la exposición prolongada al sol.       A exposição solar crônica é um fator importante para o envelhecimento da pele e o desenvolvimento de câncer de pele. Este artigo examina como a radiação ultravioleta (UV) do sol contribui para o fotoenvelhecimento, manifestado por rugas, perda de elasticidade, pigmentação irregular e manchas da idade. Além disso, destaca o risco aumentado de câncer de pele, como melanoma e carcinoma basocelular, devido à exposição solar prolongada.
