Presentation of infectious diseases on social media. (English)

Infectious diseases are an important fact of human history and have always been a great threat to health. However, with the rise of social media, the flow of information and societal responses to the spread and effects of infectious diseases have also undergone a radical transformation. This new medium of communication has become an important field for investigating how infectious diseases rise in the age of social media, how societies are affected and how information is disseminated. In this study, the relationship and orientation of infectious diseases with the use of social media is examined. While discussing how social media contributes to the rapid dissemination of accurate information and raising awareness about infectious diseases, it is also discussed how misinformation and conspiracy theories spread and affect society. The study also touches on the role of health authorities, how accurate information about communicable diseases is provided, how panic situations are managed, and society's reactions on social media. In general, this study will help us understand how infectious diseases have risen in the era of social media and will also evaluate issues such as information flow, social reactions and panic formation, which are important issues in terms of public health. Although there are studies on this subject and field, the general analysis of epidemic disease periods such as COVID-19, Ebola, SARS and MERS will also be evaluated under a single title. Bulaşıcı hastalıklar, insanlık tarihinin önemli bir gerçeğidir ve her zaman sağlık açısından büyük bir tehdit olmuştur. Ancak, sosyal medyanın yaygınlaşmasıyla birlikte, bulaşıcı hastalıkların yayılımı ve etkileriyle ilgili bilgi akışı ve toplumsal tepkiler de köklü bir dönüşüm geçirdi. Bu yeni iletişim ortamı, bulaşıcı hastalıkların sosyal medya çağında nasıl yükseldiğini, toplumların nasıl etkilendiğini ve bilginin nasıl yayıldığını araştırmak için önemli bir alan haline geldi. Bu çalışmada, bulaşıcı hastalıkların sosyal medya kullanımıyla olan ilişkisi ve yönelimi incelenmektedir. Sosyal medyanın, bulaşıcı hastalıklar hakkında doğru bilgilerin hızlı şekilde yayılmasına ve farkındalığın artmasına nasıl katkıda bulunduğu ele alınırken aynı zamanda yanlış bilgilerin ve komplo teorilerinin de nasıl yayıldığı ve toplumu nasıl etkilediği de tartışılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada ayrıca sağlık otoritelerinin rolü, bulaşıcı hastalıklarla ilgili doğru bilgilerin nasıl sağlandığı, panik durumlarının nasıl yönetildiği ve toplumun sosyal medyadaki tepkilerine de değinilmektedir. Genel olarak bakıldığında bu çalışma, bulaşıcı hastalıkların sosyal medya çağında nasıl yükseldiğini anlamamıza yardımcı olacak ve toplum sağlığı açısından önemli bir konu olan bilgi akışı, toplumsal tepkiler ve panik oluşumu gibi konuları da değerlendirecektir. Bu konu ve alanla ilgili yapılmış çalışmalar bulunmakla birlikte COVID-19, Ebola, SARS ve MERS gibi salgın hastalık dönemlerinin genel analizi de tek bir başlık altında değerlendirilmiş olacaktır.
