      The study aimed to identify the role of community participation in achieving sustainable development in Saada Governorate. The study used the descriptive approach and utilized a questionnaire as a tool of study, which included 36 items distributed over three axes of community participation in achieving sustainable development. The study was conducted on a sample of 150 participants from the executive agencies and community committees in Saada Governorate. The findings show a high positive role for community participation in achieving sustainable development in Saada Governorate. There are no statistically significant differences in the respondents' perceptions about the role of community participation in achieving sustainable development due to the variables of study. The study highlights the necessity to consider to encourage and support community initiatives in various environmental, social and economic fields, in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development in the governorate.
