Goldman's Australia Equities Head Said to Join Jefferies.

Mario Argyrides, the head of equities at Goldman Sachs in Australia, is leaving the firm to join Jefferies Financial Group. Argyrides' departure has not yet been officially announced by Goldman Sachs, and a replacement has not been named. The Australian Financial Review also reported that Mike Johnson, head of sales at Jefferies, has resigned. Argyrides had been the sole head of the business since the resignation of his former co-head, Ben Clifford, and both had joined Goldman Sachs from Macquarie Group in 2017.
