The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), South Africa's third-largest party, is positioning itself as a king-maker in the upcoming elections, expecting no outright winner. The EFF is willing to partner with any rival that supports its policies, which include land expropriation without compensation and nationalizing all mines. While the EFF sees the newly formed uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) as a potential coalition partner, they would likely need to join forces with the ruling African National Congress (ANC) to form a government. The possibility of an ANC-EFF coalition has concerned investors, causing the rand to decline. The ANC and EFF agree on the principle of land expropriation but differ on the details. Despite the EFF's proposal for the state to be the custodian of all land, investors would still have security of tenure. [Extracted from the article]
