The Impact of Corporate Governance in the Financial Performance at Industrial Companies Listed in Amman Stock Exchange.

The study aimed to identify the impact of corporate governance with its dimensions (board of directors size, board of directors independence, number of audit committee meetings) on the financial performance with its dimensions (return on assets, return on equity) in industrial companies listed on Amman Stock Exchange. the descriptive analytical approach was followed, collect necessary data and test hypotheses for a sample study (32) an industrial companies listed on the Stock Exchange, for period (2015-2020). The results of the study showed no a statistically significant impact of corporate governance in its dimensions (board size, independence of the board of directors, number of audit committee meetings) on financial performance by its dimensions (return on assets, return on equity) in industrial companies listed on Amman Stock Exchange, as the results showed apositive statistically significant impact of corporate governance with its combined dimensions on the return on assets, as well as the no a statistically significant impact of corporate governance with its combined dimensions on the return on equity. Based on the results of the study, several recommendations were made, including: focusing on applying the rules of governance in industrial companies listed on Amman Stock Exchange [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
