Seven & i Holdings Co., the parent company of 7-Eleven, is testing a larger version of its convenience stores in Japan. The new store in Chiba prefecture is almost double the size of a regular 7-Eleven and offers more than twice the number of products. The company hopes to attract a wider range of consumers, including women, families, and younger people, by adding more food choices and household goods. The trial store will carry easy-to-prepare groceries, baby products, trendy makeup, and other items not typically found in 7-Elevens. Seven & i plans to open a second larger store within the next year based on the success of this trial. [Extracted from the article]
