Old Media Get New Life.

Former Illinois Senator and Treasurer Dan Rutherford has established a media-recycling service, delivering donated CDs, DVDs, books, and VHS tapes to nursing homes, veterans' homes, and other community centers. Rutherford and a group of volunteers are serving more than 80 organizations, sending donations out twice a year. He sorts all the media before sending it out, donating any excess or broken items to places like Goodwill or Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
