The experience of the Spirit in the early Quakers. (English)
The text addresses the analysis of the spirituality of the first Quakers, that is, what they considered the experience of the Spirit to be. For this, the historical conditions of the emergence of this movement are briefly described and it goes on to explain what the Spirit was for them, how it manifested itself, how it should be worshiped and the practical implications of this belief. The Quakers were an example of popular and non-elitist mysticism that can provide clues and nuance current discussions about what spirituality is. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
