Ghana has secured a debt moratorium with official creditors until May 2026 and expects to reach a deal with eurobond investors to restructure its $13 billion debt by the end of March. Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta revealed that the bilateral obligations of $5.4 billion would be repaid in two tranches in 16 and 17 years' time. The agreement with official creditors also paves the way for negotiations with eurobond investors. Ghana's debt restructuring pact has been praised as one of the fastest under the Group-of-20 Common Framework for Debt Treatment. [Extracted from the article]
