The given text provides information about the Neuroscience in Psychiatry Network (NSPN) 2400 cohort, a study conducted to understand the development of psychopathology and psychiatric disorders in adolescents and young adults. Two follow-up surveys were conducted to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health and well-being within the cohort. The study found that the pandemic had a significant negative impact on mental well-being and increased psychological distress. Pre-existing mental health conditions increased vulnerability to distress, and factors previously thought to enhance resilience did not protect against the psychological impacts of the pandemic. The data collected during the pandemic showed that levels of distress remained elevated 2.5 years after the initial outbreak. The study acknowledges limitations but emphasizes the cohort's value as a data source for studying the impact of the pandemic. The data are available to other researchers through the Open: NSPN portal. [Extracted from the article]
