      Agriculture is one of the main economic growth promoter of the country. Its main objective is to be able to insure food self-sufficiency. It has a significant impact on the growth of other economic sectors, especially foreign trade. The purpose of this article is to analyze the situation of Algerian agriculture and its contribution in the promotion of Algerian non-hydrocarbon exports with a focus on the date sector.
