The digital transformation of scientific periodicals in Egyptian universities: an applied study on the periodicals of Tanta University.

تهدف الدراسة إلى التعريف بمفهوم التحول الرقمي للدوريات ومميزات مشروع النشر اإللكتروني للدوريات العلمية ، ودراسة مشروع التحول الرقمي للدوريات العلمية بجامعة طنطا وإتاحتها على بنك املعرفة املصري من حيث املقومات التنظيمية واملادية والتقنية والبشرية والقانونية، ثم إلقاء الضوء علىمراحل مشروع رقمنةالدوريات العلميةبجامعة طنطا، باإلضافةإلىالتعرفعلىمراحل النشراإللكتروني لها علىبنكاملعرفةاملصري. وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على املنهجالوصفي التحليلي،وتمثلت أدوات الدراسةفي قائمةمراجعة تم تصميمها بناء على أهداف وتساؤالت الدراسة، وقد اقتصرت العينة على عشردوريات فقطوالتي خاضتتجربةالتحول الرقمي،ومن أهم نتائج الدراسة: يتم اإلشراف على جودة عمليةالرقمنةواملسحالضوئي بجميع مشاريع الدراسةمما أدى إلىكفاءة عمليةالسحب وجودة اإلخراج النهائي للمقاالت املمسوحة، ضعف البنية التحتية وقلة كفاية األجهزة واملعدات األساسية الالزمة لعملية التحول الرقمي للدوريات بمشاريع الدراسة، أن جميع كلياتالدراسةتعتمد علىقدراتها الذاتيةفيإنجازمشاريع التحول الرقميللدورياتالعلمية بها، يتم اختيار موظفين مؤهلين لعملية التكشيف والعمليات الفنية، ب %90 من عينة الدراسة،من أهم معوقات مشاريع التحول الرقمي للدوريات العلميةبجامعة طنطا: نقص الكو ادر البشرية املتخصصة وضعف املخصصات املالية املخصصة للرقمنة. The study aims to introduce the concept of digital transformation of periodicals, the advantages of the electronic publishing project for scientific periodicals, the steps for digitizing scientific periodicals and their advantages, as well as studying the digital transformation project for scientific periodicals at Tanta University and making them available on the Egyptian Knowledge Bank in terms of organizational, material, technical, human and legal elements, then shedding light on the stages of the digitization project Scientific periodicals at Tanta University, in addition to learning about the management systems of electronic scientific periodicals at Tanta University and the stages of their electronic publication on the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, as well as standing on the challenges of digital transformation of scientific periodicals at Tanta University. The study relied on the analytical descriptive approach, and the study tools consisted of a checklist that was designed based on the objectives and questions of the study. The sample was limited to ten periodicals only that went through the experience of digital transformation. Among the most important results of the study: The quality of the digitization and scanning process is supervised in all projects The study, which led to the efficiency of the withdrawal process and the quality of the final output of the scanned articles, the weakness of the infrastructure and the lack of adequacy of the basic devices and equipment necessary for the digital transformation of the periodicals in the study projects, that all the study faculties rely on their own capabilities in the completion of the digital transformation projects for their scientific periodicals, qualified employees are selected For the indexing process and technical operations, with 90% of the study sample, one of the most important obstacles to digital transformation projects for scientific periodicals at Tanta University: lack of specialized human cadres and weak financial allocations for digitization.
