      The article focuses on the Florida Association for Media in Education(FAME) 2004 Conference, held in Tampa, Florida. The conference was set around a Pirate theme in keeping with the Treasures of the Mind: Creating Collaborative Krewz for Kids conference theme. The conference had over 1200 media specialists registered and over 250 vendor participants, making this one of the largest conferences in recent history. It was wonderful to have the State Librarians attend a FAME conference. In the past, FAME has held a Business Meeting at the end of the conference when many attendees have already left.
