PELE DE TILÁPIA NO TRATAMENTO DE QUEIMADURAS: CUIDADOS DE ENFERMAGEM FRENTE A ESSE NOVO MÉTODO.

TILAPIA SKIN IN THE TREATMENT OF BURNS: NURSING CARE AGAINST THIS NEW METHOD.

Burns are injuries that occur due to accidents caused by thermal exposure and may have different classifications. Nursing in its practice uses different dressings in the treatment of burns. Nile tilapia skin (Oreochromis niloticus) appears as a possible by-product, with clinical applicability of new biomaterials usable for bioengineering in the treatment of burns. This is an integrative research study. The construction of this article was carried out from 10 articles from electronic sources. For this purpose, articles published between 2010 and 2022 were selected. The descriptors used were: Biodressings (Human or animal tissue used as a temporary covering for wounds); burns; Nursing. The objective of the study is to carry out, through the analysis of already published materials, the benefits of using tilapia skin in the treatment of wounds/burns, as well as the role of nursing in the face of the implementation of this new technology in hospitals. It is concluded that tilapia skin is a material of easy access and very low cost, facilitating its implementation, there is a shortage of content on the subject when related to nursing and the study will serve as a precursor for updating within the nursing area on the subject. As queimaduras são lesões ocorridas devido acidentes por exposição térmica podendo ter diversas classificações. A enfermagem em sua prática utiliza-se diferentes curativos no tratamento de queimaduras. A pele da tilápia do Nilo (Oreochromis niloticus) surge como um possível subproduto, com aplicabilidade clínica de novos biomateriais utilizáveis para bioengenharia no tratamento de queimaduras. Trata-se de um estudo de pesquisa integrativa. A construção deste artigo foi realizada a partir de 10 artigos de fontes eletrônicas. Para tal foi selecionado artigos publicados entre 2010 e 2022. Os descritores utilizados foram: Biocurativos (Tecido humano ou animal utilizado como revestimento temporário de ferimento); Queimaduras; Enfermagem. O objetivo do estudo é realizar através da análise de materiais já divulgados, os benefícios do uso da pele de tilápia no tratamento de feridas/queimaduras, assim como o papel da enfermagem frente a implementação desta nova tecnologia nos hospitais. Conclui-se que a pele de tilápia é um material de fácil acesso e baixíssimo custo, facilitando sua implementação, há escassez de conteúdos da temática quando relacionado a enfermagem e o estudo servirá como percussor para atualização dentro da área de enfermagem sobre o tema.
