French Loan Words in Persian and Their Evolution. (English)

The present study aims to investigate French loanwords in Persian, whose number is noticeable. Their entrance to Persian dates back two centuries ago, but during the time with the progress in different international domains and the political, social, and cultural relations between the two countries, borrowing the words has continued. Specifically, the study investigates the evolution of these loan words from the phonetic, semantic, and social points of view in Persian and finds out the reason for the probable changes. The research method is based on Guidère’s experimental method using HypothesisResult principle. In the theoretical framework of the study, we have also used the ideas of the linguists such as Blank (1995), Lev-Ari et al (2014), and so on. To create the necessary corpus and gathering the related data, we have used our knowledge and referred to French dictionaries to check their accuracy. The results of the study showed that some of the loan words have undergone phonetic changes, and some of them show some degrees of semantic changes. Socially, some of them are used by different social classes in daily conversations, but some are used as special terminologies for some occupations. Cette recherche a fait un tour d’horizon sur les emprunts français dans la langue persane dont le nombre est considérable. Leur insertion dans notre langue remonte à quelque deux siècles, mais avec le temps, grâce aux progrès de tout ordre à l’échelle internationale et aux relations socio-politiques et culturelles entre les deux pays, ils ne cessaient d’y entrer. Notre ambition dans cet article est de constater leur évolution sur les trois plans phonétique, sémantique et social afin de voir s’ils ont subi des changements dans ces domaines ou non. Cette étude est basée sur la méthode d’expérimentation présentée par Guidère dont l’approche générale est hypothético-déductive, et appuyée par des points de vue des linguistes tels Blank, Lev-Ari, etc. Le corpus est collecté, tout d’abord, en nous référant à nos connaissances empiriques dans le domaine lexicologique, puis nous avons consulté des dictionnaires comme Le Petit Robert et Le Robert Méthodique pour pouvoir vérifier la fiabilité de nos collectes. Selon les résultats de la recherche, nous avons remarqué le changement phonétique pour certains emprunts, la mutation sémantique pour certains d’autres et leur emploi général et spécialisé pour des couches variées de la société. L’Académie de la Langue Persane s’efforce de trouver des équivalents pour certains d’entre eux en recourant au néologisme, mais parfois malgré la richesse de cette langue, ils y restent tels quels.
