      Like PreK-12 teachers and students, teacher educators and teacher candidates had a hard time adjusting to uncertainty related to the coronavirus. Teacher educators need to acknowledge that educators need personal experiences in virtual learning before they can adapt virtual approaches into their own teaching. If we would like to support PreK-12 students in virtual instruction, learning, and assessment, there is a need for teacher education programs to reconsider how teacher candidates are adequately prepared to teach and assess effectively and responsibly with technology.
