ن جميع الرسالات السماوية حرمت الزنا لما يسببه من أضرار خطيرة على الفرد والمجتمع، قد حرم الإسلام الزنا وجميع دواعيه وقد ورد تحريمه في عدة مواضع من القرآن الکريم، يعد الزنا من جرائم الحدود التي أوجبَ الله فيه إقامة الحد الشرعي على مُقترفيه؛ فعقوبة الشريعة العادلة قد نتج عنها مجتمعا يقوم على الأخلاق الحميدة، لأن في هذه الجريمة اعتداء على الأعراض واختلاطاً للأنساب، الأمر الذي يؤدي إلى هدم الأسرة ثم تفکک المجتمع.
