APONTAMENTOS SOBRE ESCOLA E SOCIEDADE.

NOTES ON SCHOOL AND SOCIETY.

Born out of discussions in the master's course, this text talks about the origin and function of the school in its origins and nowadays. It seeks to show that the school has not followed the evolution of society, moving away from what it seeks in people today. Based on the emergence of the school in the modern era and the transformations it underwent during the development of society, we are going to walk through authors who have addressed the school at different times, such as Foucault at the beginning of modernity, with Althusser at the height of industrial capitalism, with Freud providing a basis for understanding the mass culture that prevails in these periods and ending with Illich and his talk about the inadequacy of schools to promote the phenomenon of education. The starting point of this discussion is that society is a human construction, and that changes over time, in Foucault we have the structure formed to separate, watch over and domesticate the human being, in Althsser, we have the function of reproducing the means of production, in Freud we have the psychological elements that unite these elements and in Illich we have the critique of what the school has become as the center that holds and controls the phenomenon of education and, therefore, limits it, not being able to produce with today's students. The need to place the student directly in contact with the experiences that generate the educational phenomenon was pointed out by the discussions as a fundamental element to revert the situation in which education finds itself today. Nascido das discussões no curso de mestrado este texto fala sobre a origem e a função da escola em sua origem e nos dias atuais. Procura-se evidenciar que a escola não acompanhou a evolução da sociedade, se afastando daquilo que ela busca nas pessoas atualmente. Partindo do surgimento da escola na época moderna e as transformações que sofreu durante o desenvolvimento da sociedade, para tanto vamos passear por autores que abordaram a escola em diversos momentos, como Foucault no início da modernidade, com Althusser no auge do capitalismo industrial, com Freud dando uma base para a compreensão da cultura de massa que se impõe nestes períodos e terminando com Illich e sua fala sobre a inadequação das escolas para promover o fenômeno da educação. Tem-se como ponto de partida desta discussão de que a sociedade é uma construção humana, e que se altera com o tempo, em Foucault temos a estrutura formada para separar, vigiar e domesticar o ser humano, em Althsser, temos a função de reproduzir os meios de produção, em Freud temos os elementos psicológicos que unem estes elementos e em Illich temos a crítica do que a escola se tornou como o centro que detém e controla o fenômeno da educação e, portanto o limita, não sendo capaz de produzi-la com os alunos da atualidade. A necessidade de se colocar o aluno diretamente em contato com as experiências que geram o fenômeno educativo foi apontado pelas discussões como elemento fundamental para se reverter o quadro em que se encontra a educação em nossos dias.
