Radio 3, 10pm THURSDAY FREE THINKING Matthew Sweet is joined by writer Ryan Calais Cameron, whose play Retrograde, about the relationship Sidney Poitier (below) had with Hollywood, is being performed at the Kiln Theatre in London. They discuss the hugely influential Oscar-winning actor and director's life, career and legacy. Radio 3, 10pm FRIDAY RADIO 3 IN CONCERT Michael Seal conducts the BBC Philharmonic at the Victoria Hall in Hanley in works by Elgar, Butterworth and Bax that were played at Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953. The concert also features the suite composed by Tippett to mark Prince Charles's birth five years earlier. Radio 3, 7.30pm SATURDAY the coronation of their majesties king charles iii and queen camilla If you can't watch the day's big event, it's being covered on radio too. Alongside the ceremony itself is a chance to hear a variety of music directed by Westminster Abbey's organist and master of the choristers, Andrew Nethsingha.
