  The article reports on how a community in western Montana addressed an outbreak of diarrhea illness that is linked to the drinking of untreated surface water, particularly Campylobacter infection. Based on whole genome sequencing analysis and epidemiological data, the outbreak was linked to drinking water from a creek near Paradise, Montana. Also cited is the move by the state Department of Transportation to remove public access to the creek.
