THE EFFECTS OF THE GLOBALIZATION PROCESS ON CHINA: A PERSPECTIVE BY ECONOMIC INDICATORS.

The liberalization of international trade, production and financial flows has brought China to the top of the globalization process. Thanks to the transformation programs it has implemented since 1978, China has increased its GDP at significant rates and has risen to the upper income group of developing middle-income countries. As of today, China has risen from the back ranks in terms of GDP, surpassing England, Germany and Japan, and has become the second largest economy after the USA. The progress made in the process of economic development is a result of China's integration into the globalization process. It is possible to examine the impact areas of the phenomenon of globalization in five different dimensions: economic, political, sociocultural, geographical, ecological and technological. In this study, an evaluation has been made in terms of the economic dimensions of globalization (production structure, commercial structure, financial structure and income distribution) on the basis of economic indicators in the Asian Region and specifically in China. Uluslararası ticaretin, üretimin ve mali akımların serbestleşmesi Çin'i küreselleşme sürecinin zirvesine taşımıştır. Çin 1978'den beri uyguladığı dönüşüm programları sayesinde GSYH'sını kayda değer oranlarda artırmış, gelişmekte olan orta gelirli ülkelerin üst gelir grubuna yükselmiştir. Günümüz itibariyle Çin GSYH büyüklüğü bakımından, geri sıralardan yükselerek İngiltere, Almanya ve Japonya'yı geride bırakmış ABD'den sonraki büyük ekonomi olmuştur. İktisadi kalkınma sürecinde kaydettiği gelişme Çin'in küreselleşme sürecine entegrasyonunun bir sonucudur. Küreselleşme olgusunun etki alanlarını siyasi, iktisadi, sosyo-kültürel, coğrafi ve ekolojik-teknolojik olmak üzere beş farklı boyutta incelemek mümkündür. Bu çalışmada, küreselleşmenin ekonomik boyutları (üretim yapısı, ticari yapısı, mali yapısı ve gelir dağılımı) itibarı ile Asya Bölgesinde ve Çin özelinde ekonomik göstergeler üzerinden bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır.
