Stockholm +50, Tbilisi +45, Rio +30: Research, praxis, and policy.

To be precise, EE was mentioned only twice, and one of those instances was the suggestion to replace the concept of EE for I education for environment and sustainability i (Knapp, [3], p. 33). If we do acknowledge the tendency to an "amnesia of the moment", are these organizations, forums, and scientific publication streams part of the problem of mainstreaming EE and EE research inaction against the promise and potential of Tbilisi? Or can they be part of the solution as critical histories of EE and EE research, including and beyond UN gatherings? The year 2022 commemorates three milestones in the history of environmental protection and education: It marks the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment, organized in Stockholm in 1972; the 45th anniversary of the first Intergovernmental Conference on Environmental Education, held in Tbilisi in 1977; and the 30th anniversary of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development, which took place in Rio de Janeiro in 1992.
